Misean Cara Member's Forum

Misean Cara hosted a special meeting with Members on the current crisis in the Horn of Africa . A total of nine member organisations were in attendance at the meeting and each contributed some information on what their members were experiencing at present and the major challenges they were facing. At the meeting staff from Misean Cara informed members of funding that is available from Misean Cara under the Emergency Respond Fund. (Funding for up to €15,000 per application).

Members were also advised about the recently updated Sphere Project Guidebook - the Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response.The Sphere Project is an initiative to define and uphold the standards by which the global community responds to the plight of people affected by disasters, principally through a set of guidelines that are set out in the Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response.
